Description
Dense urban communities lack options to expand open space while surplus public properties, such as alleys and medians sit idle and underused. In an era of dwindling budgets and aging infrastructure, urban design must be flexible and innovative and maximize in-between spaces. This presentation will highlight ways to transform underused public spaces by layering innovative design with dynamic, social places for people.
