Description

Landscape architects often pursue careers in non-traditional fields. The realm of public practice, including non-profit and governmental work, offers unique opportunities and challenges to practitioners. This session will introduce the work and lessons learned of three female landscape architects engaged in careers in public practice. Each panelist will address the unique path of practice she has pursued and discuss the impact of each chosen path of practice on her work.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the career opportunities available to landscape architects in non-profit and governmental work.
  • Compare the career paths of three female landscape architects in public practice.
  • Expand dialogue amongst the diverse community of women in landscape architecture.
