James Burnett, FASLA, received his landscape architecture degree from Louisiana State University and founded The Office of James Burnett in Houston in 1989, later expanding to San Diego and Boston. The firm's practice takes a multi-disciplinary approach, working closely with design teams of other professionals and a diverse range of clients. Jim's recent work has focused on the transformation of American cities, using innovative programming initiatives to create active public spaces. OJB received ASLA's 2015 Firm Award, and in 2016, Jim was awarded the ASLA Design Medal, recognizing an exceptional body of work sustained over an extended period of time.
