Over the past two decades of practice, landscape architect Thomas Woltz has led a body of work within the firm that integrates the beauty and function of built forms with an understanding of complex biological systems, cultural history and restoration ecology. As principal of NBW, he leads teams that infuse narratives of the land into the places where people live, work, and play, deepening connections between culture and ecology and inspiring environmental stewardship. Thomas serves on the Board of Directors of the Cultural Landscape Foundation and at the University of Virginia School of Architecture Foundation.
