Chris Reed is Founding Director of Stoss Landscape Urbanism and is recognized internationally as a leading voice in the transformation of landscapes and cities. He works alternately as a researcher, strategist, teacher, designer, and advisor. A recipient of the 2012 Cooper-Hewitt National Design Award in Landscape Architecture, Chris is also a Professor of Practice in Landscape Architecture at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design. His work addresses the impacts of climate change, social inequities, lack of biodiversity, and the need for inclusive and broad social interactions in the public realm. His current book on urban landscapes is titled Mise-en-Scène.
