Rebecca Colbert is a landscape architect and environmental design researcher at MIG. Her design work centers on innovative children’s environments in a broad range of settings from parks and museums to schools and urban corridors. She holds a doctorate in Design and Planning from the University of Colorado. Her research focuses include child and youth friendly communities, youth participatory planning processes, child and nature relationships and active free play. Rebecca has served as the managing editor of the Children, Youth and Environments Journal and is on the Play Area Advisory Panel for the National Recreation and Parks Association.
