Skip Mezger was the Campus Landscape Architect for UC Davis for 18 years before retiring in Jan. 2017. During his tenure, UC Davis grew from a student population of 25, 000 to 35,000. With this growth, issues of environmental sustainability and climate change became important design challenges in the campus landscape. Before becoming the campus landscape architect, Skip was a principal in the award winning LA firm of CoDesign, Inc., and lectured for twelve years in the landscape architecture program at UC Davis. Skip received a BS from UC Davis, and a MLA from the University of Oregon.
