Over the past four years, the presenters have conducted ongoing research and development into AI. The 2025-2026 period has seen remarkable advancements in tools, agents, and challenges surrounding AI. This session reviews the impact of AI on firm policy, implementation roadmaps, chatbots, generative tools, and specific applied methods for design, production, management, and operations.
Learning objectives:
- Research and implement AI tools strategically within your landscape architecture practice.
- Identify ethical, privacy, and climate-related risks of AI in landscape architecture, and apply AI policy within your practice.
- Apply AI-enhanced workflows including fire mapping (remote sensing), generative graphics, and proposal work.
- Train staff to be AI-literate, use tools appropriately, and enhance return on investment while balancing labor demands.
